Must work well in a team environment, have own vehicle, cell, computer, is organized, enthusiastic, detailed oriented and ability to multi task. An understanding in film and television production or theatrical design is beneficial.
Capable of effectively maintaining a budget record, time sheets and other administrative duties as required by the construction coordinator, must proficient in the use of spreadsheets and accounting software. Ability to track down common and uncommon items on an extensive shopping list while working within a budget and ensuring that the delivery arrives on time. Knowledge of construction materials and techniques, familiarity with the typical costs of such products. The buyer should understand the materials list and knows exactly where to purchase such goods. This individual must be resourceful and capable of meeting the production timeline while staying on budget. Ability to maintain positive relationships with vendors and crew.
