KCTS 9 SEEKS INDEPENDENT FILMS FOR LOCAL SERIES

KCTS 9 is now seeking submissions for season five of About Us, its award-winning local, independent documentary series.

SEATTLE, WA?KCTS 9, Seattle?s PBS affiliate, is now accepting submissions for season five of About Us, the Pacific Northwest?s only television series devoted exclusively to local documentaries byindependent filmmakers. Ideal submissions will be as close to 25 minutes or 55 minutes as possible,though films of all length will be considered. To be considered for this series, a film?s subject mattermust relate to KCTS 9?s primary service area of Washington state and western Canada. Films must also demonstrate strong storytelling and editorial integrity, and be suitable for a broadcast audience.

Submissions may be mailed or delivered by February 27, 2009, to:

Deliveries will be accepted weekdays, 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Producers are encouraged, but not required, to submit films produced in high definition orwidescreen format. Letterboxed submissions are discouraged and the technical quality of accepted films must meet KCTS 9 broadcast standards. Questions about the submission process may be directed to AboutUs@KCTS9.org.
